I have always been a rebel at heart; if I was told I had to do something, my first reaction was, “No, I don’t.” My second reaction was, all too often, to go the other way. I don’t know why I was (still am to a degree) like that, but that was (is) me.There was a time when certain people in my life tried to convince me I had to do certain things in order to be a Christian. As you might guess, this did nothing to bring me into the fold. It seems the more I tried to do the things I thought I had to do, the less I understood the reasons for doing them.
In His own way, I think God used my rebellious nature to make me into the servant He wanted me to be. He allowed me to experience a lot of the consequences of my own choices and rebellion then, when I was ready, allowed me to choose to accept His call. Now I gladly labor, struggling with all His energy, which works within me. The one thing I do is believe He is my Savior and allow Him to be the source of my energy and words.
I hope the words He allows me to write encourage you to seek His will for your life.

Isn’t He amazing? Even when we stray from the path, He brings us back and uses what we’ve experienced.

Very well said my friend and I think you’re right about God using your rebellious nature in a way that it brought you to where he wanted you to be, when you were ready.

Something like Paul, He always pursues us even though we don’t realize that we are being pursued. He certainly is full of grace and mercy for us too. I’m thankful for that.
