Since I started this blog about 15 months ago, I have, with only a few exceptions, stayed away from politics. My foremost intent is to encourage my readers with my “Daily Encouragement” feature, and my second hope is to entertain them with my poems, stories, and articles. This post is to announce a change in the non-political stance of my blog.
I do this for one reason, and one reason only, and it is not so that I can use my blog as a pulpit to preach my political beliefs in order to change yours. I am firm in my beliefs and hopes for our country, and if we disagree, then we can agree to disagree, but I will not argue politics (or religion) with anyone. Derogatory or mean comments will not be posted.
On the other hand, I will keep my discourses civil, in hopes I do not alienate any of those who read them.
The reason I have decided to post political articles, is so I can support my friend, Susan Narvaiz, who is running for United States Congress in Texas’ 35th District. As you will see in the upcoming articles, Susan is someone I believe can help get this country back on the path I believe it should be on. If you live in her district, check out her web site, and if you agree with what she stands for and hopes to accomplish, please support her candidacy.
The first article will be posted this afternoon. Sorry about the short notice!
Thanks!
