A World of Hurt!
That’s where I’d be if I got what I deserve!
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 1 Corinthians 13:4
Kind, as defined by Webster is: showing a gentle and considerate nature. If God is love, and love is kind, then I say we can assume God is kind. This would seem so, in that He is most definitely gentle and considerate in His dealings with us. Another definition of kind more aptly fits God: forbearing. To be forbearing is: refraining from the enforcement of something that is due.
I, for one, am very thankful we love and serve a patient and kind God. If He were not gentle, considerate, and forbearing, I would be, as the saying goes, in a world of hurt. If God meted out punishment—enforcement—each time we broke a rule or did something He did not approve of, I’d be in line for the proverbial “board-of-education” much too often.
I believe if we focus on God and His awesome love for us, we will begin to be like Him. Wouldn’t that be wonderful?

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.~ 1 John 4:18 NIV. That is the verse I thought when I read your blog.
