God’s Peace

It’s Sunday morning and I’m at the lake, getting ready to head back to College Station. So, I thought I’d send you a little sermon, of sorts, to start your day. I hope you enjoy it, and I hope you have an awesome day!

God’s Peace

If we found the oh so elusive peace
What then would we search for
Another thing, another place
Or just another open door

We spend our whole lives searching
For truth and find but lies
Sorrow nipping at our heels
Our faces turned to the skies

Hanging tight to faith and hope
We live but day to day
Crying out to Lord unseen
Begging… please show the way

Tis in our heart this peace
Our comfort comes from above
He asks naught from us and yet
Gives us unconditional love

Perhaps it is in the searching
That with our God we be as one
For should the prize be in our hand
Would not our work be done
