I’m Your Huckleberry! 6/25/11

This morning’s devotional was based on Ephesians 6:15, which says, And with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. But for reasons—some I could identify, some I could not—I woke up without my normal sense of peace. I had, as the saying goes, gotten up on the wrong side of the bed. The thing is I did not accept or give in to those feelings, but fought them off. I persevered.

In other words, I was ready to move forward into my day, knowing I could overcome the bad feelings and enjoy what lay ahead. I did just that. It wasn’t a glorious day, but it was a good day, spent with my loving, supportive, understanding wife. We had a peaceful day.

I hope each of you did too.

Charlie, I think you left out a word in speaking of your wife…patient.
Truly, that’s good advice for all. Thanks.
