I’m Your Huckleberry ~ 7-21-11

In this morning’s Daily Encouragement I said, “I get up early—sometimes so early it worries Sherry—and I am almost always excited to start my day here at this desk, pounding these keys. I am most excited when I write these encouragements.”

I do love writing the encouragements best, but I love writing all the other things, too. Poems, short stories, fiction, true life, novels; you name it, if I’m writing it I am one happy ol’ dude!

Today, I wrote my very first children’s story, and you guessed it; I loved it! It was so cool to write a cute little story knowing it might entertain children. I could just see a little one on mom or dad’s knee, gazing up at them in rapt wonder as they listened to the story of Bubba and Barker. It was easy to do, too, since I remain a bit childlike in my general attitude regarding life. (No comments from the peanut gallery, please!)

Y’all have a great evening. I’ll see you in the morning!
