I’m Your Huckleberry ~ 7-27-11

I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14

This verse from today’s Daily Encouragement speaks strongly to me about God giving His grace to us, not asking us to earn it. So many times we get caught up in the rules, and the dos and don’ts, that we lose sight of the fact God chose us, not the other way around.

Even then, when we realize it’s not what we do, but what God leads us to do when we put our faith and trust in Him, we often take for granted the most important thing of all, and it is something we must do: believe in Him.

I had a response from a stranger on yesterday’s Huckleberry post, and all it said was “lol there is no God”.

It made me kind of mad at first, but then all I felt was sadness for the person who sent it—they sent it as anonymous, by the way. I mean… I can’t even imagine what their life is like. Can you?

We are so blessed to have God choose us . . . I am awed by His love and grace.

I guess people who say there is no god, are either trying to prove something or are lost and in search of something…either way they are still trying to figure out. Those who believe in …have given names to that supernatural power as god, miracle …messiah etc…basically someone who is above all of us leading the path …
nice to read your articles as it literally makes one think 🙂

    • Thank you! I appreciate your visit and reading my writing. Your comments are very much appreciated.

  3. Or maybe, we just do not believe in a god. It really is that simple for some of us. We’re not lost or searching…to believe in God as described in the Bible just isn’t something which resonates with me.

    • I don’t consider it my job to try and change anyone’s mind–about anything. I simply try to encourage those who believe as I do–and some who don’t.
Thanks for visiting and commenting. I do appreciate it!
