Love or Fear?

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18
I believe this verse to be much simpler than it first appears. To me it simply says if we have God’s love in us, we will have no fear. I love that concept!
It’s simple to me, knowing God is love—perfect love—and because we love Him and He lives within our hearts we are love; and where love is, fear cannot be. If we truly love and trust God, we will fear nothing. I know some won’t agree with what I’m about to say, but to me the worst thing that can happen to a believer—death—is the best thing that can happen, because obviously, we will then be with our Lord forever.
Some argue it isn’t death they are afraid of, but dying—especially if death should be painful, drawn out, or burdensome to our loved ones. Those are valid concerns, but look at what they are based on: fear.
In my opinion, we can’t have it both ways. Love or fear; pick one.
I choose love.

not sure I understand what this means seems confusing to me ,’ but to me the worst thing that can happen to a believer—death—is the best thing that can happen, because obviously,’ if what you are saying is the “worst” that can happen is death I believe your mistaken as that to me as a christian is what I look forward to the most . To arrive at that gate and have Jesus waiting for me oh what a gloriuos day I can’t wait and do not fear! God Bless
