I Know What I know I Know ~ April 18

I Know What I know I Know

And that’s all I need to know

If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from His love, if any fellowship with the spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Philippians 2:1-2

Within these two verses lies a secret, and it reads, “having the same love.” Having the same love for others as Jesus has for us would make the world quite an awesome place. But what matters most is that we realize how much God loves us and love Him in return. I believe when we truly accomplish those two things, we will become like Jesus, and we will love others the way He loves us.

I will not argue or debate the word of God or the love of God. I believe; end of argument. That one word—believe—is the basis for Christianity. I believe each one of us sees, hears, and understands God in our own unique way, and our relationship with Him is personal.

Being like-minded does not mean we must agree on every specific item of a specific doctrine. It means we find comfort in Christ’s love, return His love and have the same love for others. When we do the first two, the third will happen, and our joy—and God’s joy—will be complete.
