You’re A Superstar! ~ April 28

You’re A Superstar!

On the winning team!

For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members don’t have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Romans 12:4-5

In baseball, the player who bats second in the lineup is typically someone who more often than not makes contact with the ball, and/or has a good eye for the strike zone, and can draw a walk. The thinking behind this theory is, the leadoff batter will get on base and the number two batter will move him to the next base, so the player batting in the third position can bring the lead runner home with a base hit.

My point being, the player who scores the run and the player who gets the base hit to drive him in for the score get all the credit and headlines, while the player who did his job as the second batter is seldom noticed. But, he’s an important part of the process.

We are all part of God’s team, our part in His plan is important, and He doesn’t love the stars of His team any more than He loves the ones who don’t get the headlines. He knows if the little guy doesn’t do his part, the big star can’t do his.

In God’s eyes, every member of His team is a super star!
