Where Am I? ~ May 27

Where Am I?

And how’d I get here?

We ought always to thank God for you, brothers, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love every one of you has for each other is increasing. 2Thessalonians 1:3

Faith comes from God; when we love Him, He fills us with His love, we become more like Him, and so it makes sense that our love for each other will grow as our love for God grows.

I thank God for my brothers and sisters in Christ. It’s an amazing thing to watch God at work in people’s lives—and in mine—as His love becomes a part of them, and they become like Him. I hear and see the awesomeness of Him as He fills the hearts of my brothers and sisters with His love, and I watch and listen in wonder as hearts change and lives mend.

I sit at my desk many mornings, wondering how all this came to be. Not long ago, I was wandering aimlessly through life, and now here I am writing encouragements about God’s love and how it is increasing in the lives of my friends and family. I know it’s hard for many of you to believe I’m doing this, but how hard do you think it is for me to believe??

But… It’s pretty awesome, ain’t it!

P.S.: I thank God for all of you.

You ask the big questions, and rightly so. Over the years I have come to believe that many who might appear to be giving different answers are not so far away. It is the language that deceives.

A changed life is the miracle for which we praise God. The one life that is the most amazing to see is my own. He loved and drew me when I continually turned away. Amazing grace. Forty years in his kingdom now and awaiting the eternity he has prepared and meeting him face to face. Hallelujah.
