Don’t Interrupt Me! ~ May 31

Don’t Interrupt Me!

While I’m on the phone!

May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance. 2Thessalonians 3:5

If there’s one thing most of us lack it is perseverance and patience. It is, however, something Jesus had/has an abundance of. I yearn for the day when God’s love is so entrenched in my heart that perseverance is no longer necessary.

I received an email recently that was entitled, “Priorities.” It asked the question: What if our Bible was as important to us as our cell phone? I don’t have to explain this to most of you cell-phone-junkies. You know what I mean; you’re lost without your phone, and you check it and/or have it to your ear many, many times every day.

If we spent as much time thinking about how much God loves us as we spend checking our cell phone, we would be a lot happier and more at peace.

But, Jesus will wait. He will persevere until the time when we put Him first in our lives. He knows we love Him, and He knows it’s just a matter of time until we get our priorities straight.

Oh… Check your messages. Jesus called just to say, “I love you.” He said call Him back when you have a minute you can spare.

People are so distracted these days! To find quiet moments to sit and actually listen seems impossible for most.

Wishing you a beautiful weekend, Charles.
