Multitasking ~ July 1

Multitasking

A good thing or a bad thing?

Do everything in love. 1Corinthians 16:14

Do everything in love. How’s that for keeping it simple? This is one of those profound statements that need no explanation.

If we love God and focus on Him, our hearts will open to Him and allow Him to fill us with His true agape love; a love with no boundaries or limits. When God becomes the center of our life, He fills us with His special kind of love, and we come to a point where we cannot contain it, and therefore we must release it to those around us.

Oh, we’re still human, and there will be more times than not when we don’t share God’s love for one reason or another. But some is better than none, and I believe as we grow closer to God the ratio of times we share His love will far exceed the times we don’t.

Love is all about focus. If you take your attention away from the object of your love, the intensity of your love is diminished. It’s like trying to read the Bible while sitting in a room where a TV is on—the volume loud—and someone on American Idol is “singing”, sounding like a cat with its tail caught in the door.

Focus on loving God. You’ll be amazed how your life will change.

  1. Like the old song says, ” Turn your eyes on Jesus… and the things of earth will grow strangely dim.”
