Two Heads Are Better ~ July 17

Two Heads Are Better

Even when one of them is mine!

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. Colossians 3:16

Sherry and I spend a few moments together each morning, and I read the day’s devotional to her, then we discuss it. It’s a wonderful way to start our day, and it allows us to keep God at the forefront of our daily lives. It is such a blessing to me to be able to share the beginning of each day with Sherry and God.

Sharing these moments together each morning brings us together to study and worship God, and as Jesus says in Matthew 18:20, “For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.” That alone is reason enough to share a few moments with someone else, but there is also the added benefit of the old adage, “two heads are better than one.” It’s good to talk about the things of God and get insight from each other.

If you can, I encourage you to read these encouragements with someone you love. And if that’s not possible, know this: Jesus is there with you.
