Remodeling? ~ July 23

Or adding on?

In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. John 14:2

Last Father’s Day, Sherry gave me a card which on the front read, “I love this life we’ve built together.” The card would have been complete had that been all that was printed upon it. We have indeed built a life together that is wonderful. And in our life together are many rooms, each built to hold the dreams and memories of its season in our lives together. In every relationship there are seasons; there are good times and bad, happy and sad. Each season is a room built on our love for each other at that particular time in our lives. Most times, we use that room to its fullest, then begin constructing and furnishing another. To live our entire lives together in one room would not be possible, because times and people change and so must the rooms—the hopes and dreams—they inhabit and abide in.

And in our Father’s house? I can’t even imagine what beauty, peace, and love must await us in the rooms He has prepared for us there.
