Everything’s Relative ~ July 28

Everything’s Relative

In the overall plan

How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him. 1John 3:1

I would do anything within my power for my sons, but my power—and sometimes my devotion—is weak compared to the love God has for me.

God has loved each one of us from the very beginning of our lives. He has a plan for this world, and as His children we will play a part in that plan. I am awed and pleased to be among those He counts as His children and will gladly play my part.

I had an email conversation with a lady this past spring who said she did not believe in Jesus, but thought there was a higher power out there somewhere. I told her I disagreed, but would leave it to her and God to work it out. I don’t believe I’m in this world to save lost souls, just to encourage them and hopefully be a light they can follow.

We are not all evangelists, preachers, or teachers. Some of us play smaller roles than others. But we all have a role to play, and we are all a part of God’s plan and His family. That’s good enough for me.
