Amazing Grace? ~ August 1

Amazing Grace?

That’s an understatement!

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the gospel of God’s grace. Acts 20:24

The life I’ve lived is not one that stands out for any good reason, and certainly isn’t one God can use in a how-to manual. I’ve made every mistake and taken every wrong turn throughout my sixty-three years and yet God chooses to use me to His glory. I am amazed and honored that He allows me to testify to the gospel of His amazing grace.

And that is the awesomeness of God’s love for us; He can take a sinner like me—someone who walked the paths of darkness most of his life—and use them to bring others closer to Him. Though I did not participate in the beginning and throughout most of my life, He now allows me to finish my race in His service, and He has given me the task of encouraging my friends and family. Even though, in my opinion, my life has amounted to little and holds no worth, and so it is easy for me to place no value on it, God sees me as a part of His plan. I aspire to no greatness, not even to mediocrity; I simply place myself in His service and trust He will use me to do His will.

In His grace, I find great joy.

He chose you for your knowledge of your experiences in this world. You can understand what others are going through, good or bad. We thank our soldiers for their service, I thank you for being Gods soldier…
