If Life on Earth Was Heavenly… ~ August 8

If Life on Earth Was Heavenly…

There’d be no need for heaven

This is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another.  1John 3:11

The message! That’s what I’m talkin’ ‘bout! Love is the key, the message, the everything! God is love; He is the key; He is the message. Everything God does is based in His love for us. I have to admit though, sometimes it doesn’t seem that way. When things are going wrong in our lives, we wonder what good can come of the troubles and trials we are experiencing.

I believe the answer is, if there weren’t any tough times, how would we know what good is. The thought came to me this morning, if life on earth were heavenly, there would be no need for heaven.

Loving one another will be natural in heaven. Here on earth with all our challenges and battles, it’s not so easy. But that’s where I think we have to let God assist us. And I think the way we do that is to concentrate on Him, loving Him, and letting Him love others through us. If we love God and allow Him to mold us into the person He desires us to be, we will begin to be more like Him.

God doesn’t speak His love to us, He demonstrates it. If we love Him, we will become like Him, and we will love others. It is that simple.

Well said and written Charles! I believe there’s always a reason for what we go through. God allows us to go through trials so that we can learn from them, but more importantly so we will learn to lean on Him.
Hope you have an awesome weekend! Love in Christ Jesus.
