I’m Not There Yet! ~ September 6

I’m Not There Yet!

But, I’m getting closer every day!

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27

I come to the garden alone While the dew is still on the roses And the voice I hear falling on my ear The Son of God discloses. And He walks with me, and He talks with me, And He tells me I am His own; And the joy we share as we tarry there, None other has ever known.

These words from the song, The Garden, bless me tremendously. I’m learning not to look back on my past with regret, and I’ve come to the realization God is in charge and will see me through any challenges or trials. But more than that, I’ve begun to expect good things, moving forward each day, expecting things to work to the good. I’m not all the way there yet with respect to this way of dealing with life’s challenges, but I’m getting closer every day, and I’m able to go boldly into each new day, unafraid and expecting God’s best. I am at peace.

Each morning I come alone to this desk—you could say it’s my garden—and allow the voice of God to fall on my ear. Then, as I go into my day, “He walks with me, and He talks with me, and He tells me I am His own; and the joy we share as we tarry there, none other has ever known.”

I am blessed.
