He’ll Come Around ~ September 21

When I was a small child, I knew nothing of God, but when I was old enough to somewhat understand, I was taken to Sunday school and church where I learned about Him. When I was ten years old, I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior and continued to learn. I wasn’t a great Christian or even a good person, I was just a kid. Then, as I moved into my teen years, God became less and less important to me. I stopped going to church and began to explore the things of the world. I think maybe that’s when I became God’s enemy.

I’m quite certain now the key to my story—the point of no return—was when I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. At that moment, God knew I would wander away from Him, and He had already made provision to reconcile me to Him. He had already paid the price and laid the plans for my life.

walking with jesusI sometimes imagine God and Jesus watched me with their heads shaking through much of my life. I can imagine many times, God looking over at Jesus and asking, “Are you sure about this one?”, and Jesus replying, “Yes, Father. He’ll come around. He’s one of mine.”

Thank you, Jesus.

For if, when we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life. Romans 5:10
