What Are You Lookin’ At?

Better yet, what are you seeing?

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Matthew 5:8

We don’t have to try to be perfect and pure, we simply have to focus on God and open our hearts to Him. If we seek His knowledge and make Him the center of our lives, He will reveal things to us, and eventually, He will fill our hearts, and we will become like Him. We will become pure in heart because our hearts will be filled with Him.

And…. we will see Him! We will see Him in everything around us and everything we do. When He becomes our main focus, and we become filled with His love and knowledge, we will see the world through His eyes, and we will love with His heart—His huge and overflowing heart which is the very essence of love.

It isn’t a matter of wanting to be pure of heart; it is a matter of accepting the reality that we are pure of heart. We just haven’t accepted it yet. God created us in His image, and when we realize that and allow Him to mold us into the person He created us to be, we will become like Him, and we will see Him. Dare I say we will see Him when we look in the mirror?
