Day three was way cool! First thing in the morning, we stepped out onto the balcony to be greeted by the pre-dawn moonset over the gulf. We enjoyed coffee and bagels while marveling at the beauty and vastness of this body of water we’re gliding across.
Looking in all directions and seeing nothing but blue water and sky makes one realize just how small we are in the overall scheme of things. This ship is gigantic when you’re walking around it, or trying to find one of the many venues, and the amount of people on it, passengers and crew, is simply amazing. And if we could float above it for a moment, we would appear to be mere specs on a toy boat in this vast blue ocean.
Such is life, I reckon, but even so, I believe we are all here for a reason. We may never know the part we’ve played, but I can guarantee you that each and every one of us has done something to contribute to the master plan.
Sorry to go all serious on you, but being out here, it makes you realize how big this world is and how small we are.
