Love Is Contagious ~ November 22

Love Is Contagious

Spread it!

Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. Psalm 91:3

Pestilence is a metaphor for many things, one of which is sin, and it is, without a doubt, the deadliest of all pestilence. I’m convinced if we focus on God and make loving Him our highest priority, the wants and desires of our sinful nature will begin to fade, and eventually leave us forever.

Pestilence, by definition, is a contagious or infectious epidemic or disease that is virulent and devastating. I believe God will protect us from all pestilence, but again I feel compelled to stress that sin is the most deadly of them all, and it is extremely contagious. That’s why it’s important we stay focused on God, and with His love as our guide, live lives that are an inspiration to others.

The good news is we are protected from the snares and pestilence of the world, and the even better news is, a life lived for God, full of His wondrous love, can be even more contagious than any disease. So, spread it around!
