Watch A Baby Sleep ~ December 4

Watch A Baby Sleep

That’s how we’re supposed to do it!

“I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.” At this I awoke and looked around. My sleep had been pleasant to me. Jeremiah 31:25-26

When we’re tired, things don’t look as good as they do when we’re rested. We’re more pessimistic and unsure of things—especially our faith—when we get weary. Each morning, when everything is fresh and new, and the day is full of promise we should begin our day thanking God. When we start our day with Him, and focus on Him throughout the day, we will grow closer to Him.

God made our bodies and minds, and one of the things he designed into the miraculous beings we are, is a need for rest. What would life be like if we did not require sleep, and were able to go about our business 24 hours a day?

The verse above is a promise from God that each time we lay our heads down to rest, He will refresh us both physically and spiritually. When we sleep the blessed sleep of faith and peace, we will awaken satisfied and ready to go into the new day God has given us.

No matter what life throws at you, God will give you rest. Trust Him; give your burdens to Him; rest and be refreshed. When we have faith in God, things always look better in the morning.
