When You’re Up Against A Struggle ~ February 11

When You’re Up Against A Struggle

That shatters all your dreams

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12

We should be content in whatever state we are currently in, but we shouldn’t be content to the degree we give up our hopes and dreams. We should be content as we continue to move toward our goals.

The things we hope for are the key to this way of thinking. The phrase, “be careful what you hope for”, comes immediately to mind. The thing is, when we hope and strive for something, we must be patient, allowing God to get us to our destination in His good timing. Too often, we give up too easily when the going gets tough, or it’s taking longer than we want it to take to achieve our success.

Never give up! If your hope is instilled in you by the spirit of God, it will come to pass. But, be advised; when your hopes and dreams are godly, Satan will use anything and anyone to discourage and try to stop you. Don’t allow them to shatter your dreams, and don’t fall for the tired old line, “It just wasn’t meant to be”. If God is behind it, it will be, and until He tells you to stop, keep hoping, and continue striving for your goal.
