Suh-weet! ~ March 2

I want more!

and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Romans 3:24

It took me years to realize what Romans 3:24 actually says, and even when I did, I still hesitated to except the free gift of grace. With a mind contaminated by worldly experiences and teachings, my attitude was, this is too good to be true. When I finally realized it is true, my world changed, and it continues to change.

The gift of God’s grace is not only given freely, but it sets us free; free from sin and free to experience a life filled with joy and peace. Being free from sin does not mean we will not sin, because being the fallible humans we are, we will always sin.  But! When God becomes our focus, and He begins to fill us with His godly wisdom, our spirit—His Spirit—will begin to rule our hearts and minds, and I believe we will be transformed.

I’m not perfect. I’m still a sinner. But anyone who’s known me for a long time will tell you I’ve changed. And I believe I will continue to change, because somewhere along the line I reached the point of no return; the point where I realized how much God loves me, and how wonderful it is to be filled with His joy and peace.

Once you’ve tasted God’s peace and joy, there is nothing sweeter.
