A Recipe for Hope

Too often, we remember the bad things, instead of the good things. We allow past dreams 2failures and mistakes to live in the present, preventing us from moving toward our hopes and goals, when we can just as easily dwell on the things we’ve done right.


Instead of allowing bad memories to dominate our thoughts, we should dwell on the good things, allowing them to inspire us and fuel our dreams. Dreams are for the future, nightmares are of the past, and today is made of hope. Hope is defined as looking forward to something, expecting it to happen. The key words being, forward and expecting.

Precious memories are seeds of happiness; properly tended today, they will burst open and grow, enriching our tomorrows with hopes fulfilled.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11
