Life In the Fast Lane

I spent some years in the fast lane, and though it was sometimes thrilling, I can’t count Fast lane 2the times I found myself laying off to the side, wondering how I survived the crash. I didn’t have the T-shirt, but I wore the motto, “No Fear”, like a badge of honor.

Life with Jesus is also life without fear: when we focus on Him, there’s nothing to be afraid of. There will be ups and downs, and hairpin turns, but as long as we’re riding with Him, we’ll be safe from harm.

When we were children—back in the “old days”—we’d ride in the car, sitting (sometimes standing) in the front seat beside Mom, and if she had to stop suddenly, she’d throw her arm across us to keep us from harm. Well… Jesus has His arm across us all the time. That is, of course, if we’ve made the choice to let Him do the driving.

For thus says the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace. Jeremiah 30:5

Amen Charlie! I loved the stroll back in time to the old days. I also remember the old days… Thanks Bart

    • Howdy, Bart. Sorry I took so long to respond to your comment. It’s finally spring here, and I have a hard time keeping up with everything. Too much to do, but I love it!
And, yes, the old days are often fun to recall, but I wouldn’t want to go back there!
