Those were the days my friend, we thought they’d never end. We’d sing and dance forever and a day. Many of us—both young and old—can relate to the chorus of the song above, Those Were the Days, My Friend.
We often look back on times in our lives when we felt we had the world by the tail and were invincible. I had some good times and did indeed feel as though I were invincible but, unfortunately, I felt that way for all the wrong reasons, and usually suffered the consequences.
We can sing and dance today, and all we have to do is give God control of our lives.
When your time on earth is done, your tale is told, and your song is sung… what will the chorus be?
These are the days my friend, and… they will never end!
For all our days are passed away in your wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told. Psalms 90:9
