The Buck Stops Here

In my career, I learned a valuable lesson; I was in charge—the boss—and therefore, Being a good personwhatever took place on my projects was my responsibility. This was both good and bad.

The bad being I was ultimately responsible when something went wrong, even when someone else made a mistake. I was the one who had to answer to the higher-ups. But, this had an unexpected result; it caused many of those working for/with me to respect me for taking responsibility for the bad, as well as the good.

Jesus shoulders the responsibility for us. We are not righteous because of what we do, what we think, or what we desire; we are righteous only because we allow Jesus to stand between us and God. And, He does so, not because it’s His job, but because He loves us.

The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. Proverbs 18:10
