Fine Sounding Arguments

One of the differences between today’s “fine-sounding arguments” and those of the past is today’s are heard instantly, and just as instantly, arguments for and against them are available.

Unfortunately, a few important ingredients too often missing in today’s conversations are wisdom, knowledge, and truth. The “information” we are bombarded with is too often nothing more than opinion, especially regarding politics. And when it comes to religion, things can easily be skewed by translation and interpretation.

Concerning politics, we should do diligent research and make our decisions accordingly. But, when it comes to religion, we must first seek via His word, and allow Him to guide our decisions. (hmmm… probably be a good idea regarding politics, too.)

Seek, and you will find. It’s that simple.

I tell you this so that no one may deceive you by fine-sounding arguments. Colossians 2:4
