It’s hard to think about draining the swamp, when you’re up to your neck in alligators. And, these days, it’s hard to keep reminding ourselves we have God’s grace and protection at our beck and call, and stay focused on the good things He has for us.
And then there’s pestilence, which by definition, is a contagious or infectious epidemic or disease that is virulent and devastating. Sin is the most deadly pestilence of all, and it’s extremely contagious. That’s why it’s important for us to stay focused on God, and with His love as our guide and reward, live lives as free from sin as possible.
The good news is we’re protected from the snares and pestilence of the world, and a life lived for God, filled with His love, can be even more contagious than any disease. So, spread it around!
Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. Psalm 91:3
