I Imagine Angels

I imagine angels are here with me right now; unseen and unheard, perched about the room, then following me wherever I go, watching intently as I go about my business. The morning is peaceful, and their job is an easy one, but… they’re on the job, just in case. I like it—the thought of angels watching over me.

I wrote a poem in 1998 called, Pennies From Heaven, that tells how when we find a penny, it’s been placed there by a departed loved one to let us know they’re thinking of us, and watching over us. It might not be how things really are, but I love the idea.

God commands His angels to watch over us, and it seems to me if we have faith in Him and believe He can do all things, this is no less true than anything else He has promised us.

For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. Psalm 91:11
