It seems to me the Holy Spirit is God’s love—His very essence; the knowing Him and trusting Him, hoping in Him and accepting His unconditional love. For without hope, God could not hold our attention for long.
God is love—it’s that simple—and we will spend eternity with Him. He will never leave us or stop loving us, and the pouring out of His love into our hearts is a constant thing. It’s not a onetime fill-er-up-Joe-and-off-you-go thing: it’s as everlasting as the eternity with Him that follows this life on earth.
Hope does not disappoint us; God does not disappoint us. His love is not only unconditional, it is inexhaustible.
And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit whom he has given us. Romans 5:5
