The phrase, “It’s always darkest before the dawn,” has always fascinated me. Being an early riser, I’ve seen many sunrises, and it’s always an awesome sight that fills me with hope and causes me to be excited about what lies ahead.
But what about those cloudy or stormy mornings when we can’t see the sun come up? Days when the brilliant ball of fire that lights our days and fills us with the hope and promise of a new day cannot be seen. While the storm rages, we sometimes feel as though we’ll never see the light again, but we know it’s still there.
When we love God and know He’s always there, we can calmly face the horizons of the unknown, our hand in His, as His everlasting love lights our way.
The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory. Isaiah 60:19
