Slow Down!

toddler (1)When we were toddlers, we were eager to know everything about everything, and we’d often inadvertently put ourselves in harm’s way. The world was full of things we wanted to know more about, and we wanted to explore it all as fast as we possibly could. Fortunately, there was usually someone watching over us, teaching us, and steering us away from the bad stuff.

We’re much the same when it comes to our spiritual lives; we want to know and understand it all now. But we need to go slow, taking baby steps, until we learn our way around God’s wonderful world.

If we stay focused on God and His love for us, He’ll watch over us, guide us, and protect us. And, He’ll teach us all we need to know, when He knows we’re ready to know it.

When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I felt as a child, I thought as a child. Now that I have become a man, I have put away childish things. 1 Corinthians 13:11
