I can’t undo my past or the wrongs I’ve done, and I can’t make the good things better than they were. Done is done. But, a line from a country song kind of says what I’m trying to say: “I left the suds in the bucket and the clothes hanging out on the line.”
By that I mean I simply walked away from a life that was soiled and stained and set my sights on Jesus. I’m not perfect—never will be—but I am in the big machine now, getting the stains out, and I’ll probably need to go through the rinse cycle for the rest of my days on this planet. But by golly I’ll eventually be sparkling clean and ready to go to the big dance.
Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:9
