Keep On Smilin’

I’ve been there; weak and worn out, beat down, with no hope of things getting better. Yes, there have been times when I felt I had nothing to look forward to and no prospects for the future.

But, even before my faith in God was strong, I was somehow always able to find the strength and resolve and go forward. But, I have to tell you, when you’re at the bottom, and you can’t even see the first rung of that ladder, there is no feeling worse than that.

I sometimes ponder those dreary, hopeless days and think how different they would’ve been if I’d had the faith I have now. Faith gives us hope, and hope is the key to peace and joy. When we have faith in God, knowing He is the ultimate authority, and He loves us, we can smile through the rain and laugh at the pain.
